The KTM car brand extends the Austrian manufacturer’s performance-focused engineering from motorcycles into lightweight sports cars. KTM entered automobile production with the X-BOW in 2008, using a carbon-fiber monocoque, minimal bodywork, and a mid-engine layout to create a road-legal machine with strong track capability. The range later expanded into enclosed models such as the X-BOW GT-XR, along with GTX and GT2 competition cars. Audi-sourced turbocharged engines, low weight, aerodynamic development, and motorsport-derived construction remain central to the X-BOW family. Built in limited numbers in Graz, Austria, KTM cars are aimed at experienced drivers, collectors, and racing customers who prioritize direct handling and circuit performance over conventional comfort or everyday practicality.
