Artega
Artega was a German specialty automaker focused on compact, low-volume sports cars with lightweight construction and distinctive engineering. Founded in 2006 in Delbrück, the company introduced the Artega GT, a rear-mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive coupe built around an aluminum space frame and carbon-fiber-reinforced bodywork. Its Volkswagen-sourced 3.6-liter VR6 worked with a six-speed DSG transmission, giving the GT strong performance without relying on a large-displacement engine. Artega later explored electric sports cars through models and concepts such as the SE and Scalo. The brand primarily targeted enthusiasts seeking an uncommon European performance car with focused handling, limited production, and a design separate from mainstream German manufacturers.
